Biographical Note Esther Bridgman Clark, daughter of Arthur B. Clark, Stanford's first art professor, was one of the first women doctors in Palo Alto. She earned her a.b. from Stanford University in 1921 and her M.D. from Stanford University Medical School in 1925.
